Paula Geathers

Born in Beaumont, TX in August of 1954 and presently resides in Harvey, LA. Graduated from Charlton Pollard High School, Beaumont, TX in May 1972 and moved to Galveston, TX to attend Galveston Community College for an Associate Degree in Nursing. I quit the community college to join the Navy in February 1974. Remained in the Navy Reserves while I attended Howard University College of Nursing earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing May 1981, a Masters of Science in Healthcare Administration in May 2000.


I am a mother of three adult children, two boys and one girl. Although I reside in Harvey, LA I am a member of One Church @ Bethel’s Family in Houston, TX. I was a retired registered nurse for 4 ½ years after practicing for 37 ½ years, but reinstated my license October 2023. I was licensed in the states of Arizona, Nevada, Louisiana, Texas, Washington DC, and the island of Guam which is a United States Territory. Before I became a nurse, I was a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy. Throughout my attendance in nursing school, I worked as a nursing assistant at the VA Hospital in Washington DC fulltime while maintaining my obligation to the

Navy Reserves.
